How to Upload Schedules via a csv spreadsheet file Bulk Load
- Generate a csv (comma separated values) file
CSV files can be generated from spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel. When you save the file you will have to select the CSV (Comma delimited) (.csv) file format. (MacIntosh computers can have a non-compatible CSV(Macintosh) (*.csv) file format.) Also do NOT select UTF-8 (Comma delimited)(.csv) format
- The csv file must have a header row
For new matches you must have: Client, Date, Time, Field, Gender, Level, Home, Away, PlayingLeague, Authority, Season, Class, Group and MatchReport as a minimum. As a practical matter, the more information you can bulk upload via a spreadsheet, the less keystrokes and mouse clicks you will have later in manipulating the Matches. See the link below for a complete description of the possible column headings and format criteria.
- Capitalization is important.
- Upload the csv file.
You can upload the matches file at Client:Database-Upload.
- Bulk upload bypasses most or all of the normal data validation and error checking routines.
- Bulk Load the match data
At Client:Database-Bulk Load select the Matches table
Then click "Validate".
If there are no errors, click "Load".
If there are errors, address the errors in the csv file, upload the corrected file, and try again at Client:Database-Bulk Load.
