How to move a Match. Why Move Matches?
Field availability, inclement weather, air quality, and team convenience may all contribute to the MOVING of a match to a different DATE, TIME or FIELD.
For the Clubs or Teams involved, a Match (League Match) is a game between Team A and Team B as part of a PlayingLeague.
For Pensra , a Match (Pensra Match) is a request for referees at specified DATE, TIME and FIELD.
These definitions are different ! A single League Match might have multiple Pensra Matches.
If Referees have NOT been assigned
You can move the Pensra Match at:Client:Manage-Matches without restrictions.
If Referees have been assigned
You cannot move the Pensra Match at Client:Manage-Matches It is suggested that you COPY the match. To do this:
- Change the status of the existing Match to Cancelled or Cancelled+$ . This will inform the referee that was expecting to work at a specific Date, Time and Field that the job is no longer available.
- In order to change the status, you will need to remove the Source Key data. This severs the tie between the Pensra Match and the League Management API
- Click on Copy
- This will create a new Pensra Match with NO Referees.
- Update the new Match
- Change the Status = Normal
- Enter the new DATE, TIME and/or FIELD
- Click on UPDATE
Terribly Important
The Pensra website exists to assist REFEREES and ASSIGNORS. This is not a Club field scheduling website. This is not a Club match management website. If your Club or League asked for referees for a League Match, and a referee was assigned, we need to keep that referee informed as to what is happening in regards to that assignment.
You cannot move the match and expect that the referee assignments will move also.
